The Van Wert volleyball program will be holding tryouts for the 2011 season, starting Monday, August 1 and running until Wednesday, August 3.<\/p>\n
The high school tryouts will be from 6-8 p.m.\u00a0in the high school gym and the middle school tryouts will be from 5- 7 p.m.\u00a0in the middle school gym. Anyone interested in trying out for one of the teams must be in attendance at all tryouts. Team selections will be announced by Thursday, August 4.<\/p>\n
Any girl that will be entering grades 7-12 in the Van Wert City Schools this fall\u00a0will be\u00a0eligible to try out. All athletes must have their proper school paperwork and\u00a0physicals done and turned into the athletic department to be able to try out.<\/p>\n
The teams will start mandatory practice on Thursday, August 4, from 5-7 p.m. There will also be a mandatory parents meeting in the high school gym at 7 p.m. on Thursday, August 4, to go over Ohio High School Athletic Association regulations\u00a0and volleyball expectations for the season.<\/p>\n
