{"id":110284,"date":"2018-12-06T04:27:53","date_gmt":"2018-12-06T09:27:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.thevwindependent.com\/news\/?p=110284"},"modified":"2018-12-06T04:27:53","modified_gmt":"2018-12-06T09:27:53","slug":"westwood-plans-drug-abuse-workshop","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/news\/2018\/12\/06\/westwood-plans-drug-abuse-workshop\/","title":{"rendered":"Westwood plans drug abuse workshop"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>VW independent\/submitted information<\/em><\/p>\n<p>PAULDING &#8212; Westwood Behavioral Health will be hearing another testimonial of a graduate from the\u00a0local\u00a0Drug Court and Intensive Outpatient\u00a0Treatment\u00a0programs.\u00a0This time, however, it will be a graduate from Westwood\u2019s Paulding County program.<\/p>\n<p>The session will be held Monday, December 10, from 6-7:30 p.m.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-105700\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thevwindependent.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/Westwood-Behavioral-Health-Center-logo-8-2018.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"250\" height=\"185\" \/>Drug Court is a sentencing alternative treatment program for people suffering from substance abuse who are involved in the legal system, while the Intensive Outpatient Program is an evidence-based treatment program providing a minimum of nine hours of substance use treatment per week\u00a0at Westwood Behavioral Health Center in Van Wert and Paulding counties.<\/p>\n<p>The speaker on Monday will share what kinds of family support were most helpful on the\u00a0recovery\u00a0journey and why these supports are so integral to the recovery process.\u00a0The speaker will also discuss what aspects of treatment have been the most meaningful.<\/p>\n<p>This event is free and open to the public; no registration required.\u00a0For this very special session, Westwood will be changing the location to its Paulding County office: the Westwood Behavioral Health Center North Campus, 501 McDonald Pike in Paulding.<\/p>\n<p>Transportation is available upon request.\u00a0Call 419.238.3434\u00a0to schedule a ride to and from the event.\u00a0There is no charge for transportation; however, those wanting transportation will need to schedule a ride prior to 2 p.m. the day of the event.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>VW independent\/submitted information PAULDING &#8212; Westwood Behavioral Health will be hearing another testimonial of a graduate from the\u00a0local\u00a0Drug Court and Intensive Outpatient\u00a0Treatment\u00a0programs.\u00a0This time, however, it will be a graduate from Westwood\u2019s Paulding County program.
