The U.S. sold a net of 211,000 barrels a day of crude and refined products last week.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_33253\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-33253\" style=\"width: 150px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-33253\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thevwindependent.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/Latta-Bob-8-2012.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"240\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-33253\" class=\"wp-caption-text\"><strong>Bob Latta<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The U.S. energy boom has been a result of pro-energy policies and technological advancements that have led to increased oil production across the country.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cReclaiming net exporter status after 75 years as a net importer is a massive achievement for our country and yet another result of how the U.S. energy renaissance is making a difference for our economy, job creation, and American foreign policy,\u201d Latta said. \u201cWhile this is another milestone on the path to energy security, the fact that we are selling more oil than we are buying has huge implications.
