The food bank\u2019s employees were very generous in their giving this year.\u00a0The West Ohio Food Bank is a United Way agency, which helps supply local food pantries.<\/p>\n<p>Each year, West Ohio Food Bank provides a mobile food pantry on the Day of Caring, which is distributed to local food banks.<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-110748\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thevwindependent.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/West-Ohio-Food-Bank-logo-12-2018.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"250\" height=\"233\" \/>The West Ohio Food Bank is the largest food distribution system in the West Ohio Coordination, collecting, warehousing, and distributing food.\u00a0West Ohio Food Bank secures donations from national food and grocery manufacturers, retailer, shippers, packers, and growers and from government agencies, individuals, and other organizations. It, in turn, distributes food and grocery items, ensuring the safe storage and reliable distribution of goods to local food pantries and meal programs that served over 5 million meals to children, families, seniors, and other groups at risk of hunger.<\/p>\n<p>Together with partner agencies, the West Ohio Food Bank is making progress in helping people overcome food insecurity trying to find their way to self-sufficiency.<\/p>\n<p>This is a great example of giving back to be able to provide a service that benefits the whole community.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>VW independent\/submitted information The West Ohio Food Bank just recently finished its United Way campaign.
