{"id":11369,"date":"2011-07-29T23:26:34","date_gmt":"2011-07-30T04:26:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/?p=11369"},"modified":"2011-07-29T23:26:34","modified_gmt":"2011-07-30T04:26:34","slug":"vw-chamber-seeks-award-nominations","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/news\/2011\/07\/29\/vw-chamber-seeks-award-nominations\/","title":{"rendered":"VW Chamber seeks award nominations"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Nominations are now being taken for the sixth annual Van Wert Area Chamber of Commerce\u2019s \u201cSmall Business of the Year\u201d and \u201cMicroenterprise of the Year\u201d awards.<\/p>\n<p>Businesses that qualify for the Small Business of the Year award will have fewer than 250 employees and less than $10 million in gross receipts in 2010.<\/p>\n<p>Those eligible for the Microenterprise of the Year award will have 10 or fewer full-time equivalent employees and gross revenue of less than $1 million in 2010.<\/p>\n<p>Eligible applicants will be judged on the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Business history and performance<\/li>\n<li>Staff training and motivation<\/li>\n<li>Community involvement<\/li>\n<li>Customer service<\/li>\n<li>Business strategies and goals<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Nominations are due August 31 (<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thevwindependent.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/07\/Small-Biz-of-Year-2011-Nomination-Form.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">click here<\/a><\/strong> for a printable nomination form).
