{"id":115923,"date":"2019-04-05T01:54:50","date_gmt":"2019-04-05T06:54:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.thevwindependent.com\/news\/?p=115923"},"modified":"2019-04-05T01:54:56","modified_gmt":"2019-04-05T06:54:56","slug":"symphony-storytime-coming-to-brumback","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/news\/2019\/04\/05\/symphony-storytime-coming-to-brumback\/","title":{"rendered":"&#8216;Symphony Storytime&#8217; coming to Brumback"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><em>VW independent\/submitted information<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Lima Symphony Orchestra will be taking a new and innovative program, \u201cSymphony Storytime,\u201d on the road next week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignright is-resized\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/Brumback-Library-exterior-11-2016.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-81860\" width=\"356\" height=\"257\"\/><figcaption><strong>Brumback Library&#8217;s Main Branch in downtown Van Wert.<\/strong>p<em>hoto submitted<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>As part of Brumback Library\u2019s National Library Week celebration (more information on other related activities on Saturday), the LSO String Quartet will make an appearance at Brumback\u2019s main library in Van Wert at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 10.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Children will enjoy beloved books such as Madeline, Dragons Love Tacos, and Corduroy, accompanied by beautiful Classical masterworks performed by four LSO musicians.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The program allows children to experience music through highly interactive teaching and performances, introducing them to basic musical ideas and concepts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With a focus on creative movement and music literacy, \u201cSymphony Storytime\u201d is designed to spar a child\u2019s imagination and foster a lifelong love and appreciation for music. This program, made possible in part by The National Endowment for the Arts, is free and open to the public.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The \u201cSymphony Storytime\u201d performances are the Lima Symphony\u2019s ongoing commitment to music education and its firm belief that music and the other arts are critical tools in building strong communities.
