Florence M. (McClain) Saunier, 89, of Van Wert, died at 12:45 p.m. Saturday, April 6, 2019, at Hearth and Home of Van Wert.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She was born February 24, 1930, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the daughter of t John H. and Nellie (Gretton) McClain, who both preceded her in death. She married Robert H. Saunier, DDS, and he died June 22, 2013.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Florence was a homemaker and an active member of the Twig Association of Van Wert County Hospital and the First Presbyterian Church in Van Wert.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Florence is survived by two sons, Hugh M. (Kandy) Saunier of Van Wert and John E. (Lisa) Saunier of Springboro; her grandchildren, Phillip (Heidi) Saunier, Matthew E. Saunier, Derek Saunier, Drew Saunier, and Evan Saunier; and her great-grandchildren, Hayden, Cian, and Theodore Saunier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Florence was also preceded in death by a brother, John H. McClain Jr.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A private family service will be held. Burial will take place in Mt. Royal Cemetery in Glenshaw, Pennsylvania, near Pittsburgh.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Preferred memorials: First Presbyterian Church in Van Wert.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory is handling arrangements. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
