The grant will be used to purchase new turnout gear and a hose dryer. &nbsp;<\/strong><em>photo&nbsp;provided<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The latest local recipients of grants include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Ohio City Fire Department; $1,500 for new gear and a hose dryer<\/li><li>Van Wert Middle School; $1,500 for trip to Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, and U.S. capital&nbsp;<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Other grant recipients include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Auglaize County CERT; $1,250 to uninsured tornado\/flood victims&nbsp;<\/li><li>Celina Rotary Club; $1,250 to uninsured tornado\/flood victims<\/li><li>Autism Life Center of Allen County; $1,200 for the Sensory Saturday program<\/li><li>Community Action Life Line of Mercer County; $1,000 for weekend backpack program (two daily meals)&nbsp;<\/li><li>Children&#8217;s Hometown Holiday of Auglaize County; $1,000 for rental fees for portable outdoor skating rink<\/li><li>Mercer County DARE; $1,000 toward T-shirts and graduation&nbsp;<\/li><li>Lima Symphony Orchestra; $750 to fund two kids&#8217; concerts<\/li><li>Mercy Unlimited of Auglaize County; $650 for five shopping carts for food pantry<\/li><li>St. Henry Stingrays of Mercer County; $500 for computerized timing pool equipment<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>The Midwest Electric Community Connection Fund is a voluntary charitable program. Participating members\u2019 monthly electric bills are rounded up to the next dollar, with the additional pennies deposited in the Fund.
