Riggenbach announced that drugs and syringes were found during a search of a South Washington Street residence Tuesday evening.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The sheriff reported that a search warrant was executed at 610 S. Washington St., with the following items taken from the residence as evidence:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignright is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thevwindependent.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/VW-County-Sheriffs-Star-9-2014.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-55568\" width=\"210\" height=\"201\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>A moderate amount of suspected methamphetamine<\/li><li>A moderate amount of suspected heroin<\/li><li>A large number of syringes<\/li><li>Several cell phones and other digital devices<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Four people were in the house at the time it was searched, Sheriff Riggenbach said. The investigation remains open, and charges may be filed at a later date.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition, a nuisance abatement letter was sent to owner of the property to provide awareness of what occurred at the property.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sheriff Riggenbach asks that anyone with information on drug activity call his office at 419.238.3866 or use the Van Wert County Sheriff\u2019s Office website at&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.vanwertcountysheriff.com\/\">www.vanwertcountysheriff.com<\/a>and click on the \u201csubmit a crime tip\u201d link.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The West Central Ohio Crime Task Force (WCOCTK) and Allen County Sheriff\u2019s Office assisted in the investigation.
