During the Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over campaign, troopers will focus enforcement efforts on removing impaired drivers from Ohio\u2019s roadways.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignright\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"121\" height=\"160\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thevwindependent.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/osplogo.gif\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2340\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Motorists can do their part in keeping the roadways safe by following all traffic laws, never driving impaired and always designating a sober driver. In 2018, there were 13,364 OVI-related crashes, which resulted in 402 deaths and 7,811 injuries.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOur focus is removing impaired drivers from our roadways and educating motorists of the dangers it presents,\u201d said Lieutenant Johnathon Gray, Van Wert post commander. \u201cWe take impaired driving seriously and remain dedicated to promoting safety on Ohio\u2019s roadways.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Of those OVI-related crashes, 54 percent of at-fault drivers were between 21 and 39 years old, while 67 percent were male.
