{"id":122789,"date":"2019-09-18T22:29:26","date_gmt":"2019-09-19T03:29:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.thevwindependent.com\/news\/?p=122789"},"modified":"2019-09-18T22:29:32","modified_gmt":"2019-09-19T03:29:32","slug":"vwcs-now-has-alumni-portal-on-website","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/news\/2019\/09\/18\/vwcs-now-has-alumni-portal-on-website\/","title":{"rendered":"VWCS now has alumni portal on website"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-very-dark-gray-color\"><em>VW independent\/submitted information<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Van Wert City Schools announces that an\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.vwcs.net\/Alumni\/Registration\">alumni portal<\/a> is now available on the VWCS website.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019ve wanted to find a way to connect with our alumni for some time now,\u201d said Assistant Superintendent Bill Clifton. \u201cThis is an easy way for them to be a part of VWCS again, while allowing us a streamlined way to share information we think they may find pertinent.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignright is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thevwindependent.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/VWCS-logo-200px-8-2017.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-91300\" width=\"175\" height=\"175\" srcset=\"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/VWCS-logo-200px-8-2017.jpg 200w, https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/VWCS-logo-200px-8-2017-150x150.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 175px) 100vw, 175px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe want to reignite their Cougar Pride and get them involved in what\u2019s happening throughout our district,\u201d Clifton added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Van Wert High School graduates are encouraged to create a profile on the alumni portal. Required information includes name, email address, and graduation year. A profile must be approved before it\u2019s fully registered, but once approved, users will appear under the Directory tool. Sensitive information like addresses and phone numbers will be kept confidential.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To access the portal, visit\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.vwcs.net\/\">www.vwcs.net<\/a> and click the District tab at the top, then Alumni.
