COLUMBUS — The Ohio High School Athletic Association released the first official weekly football computer ratings Tuesday afternoon. The weekly computer ratings are released every Tuesday beginning in the fifth week of the season, leading up to the final report on Sunday, November 3, when 224 schools (top eight in each region) will officially qualify for the playoffs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

The top four seeds in each region host Week No. 11, or regional quarterfinal games. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

If the playoffs were to begin this weekend, Van Wert and Crestview would not qualify. In Division IV, Region 14, the Cougars are No. 18, while in Division VII, Region 26, the Knights are No. 12.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Several area schools are in the top eight of their respective regions or in playoff contention. In Division II, Region 7, Lima Sr. is No. 9, while in Division III, Region 12, Wapakoneta is No. 1, Shawnee is No. 10 and St. Marys Memorial is tied for No. 11. In Division IV, Region 14, Ottawa-Glandorf is No. 8.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Division VI, Region 23, Coldwater is No. 1, Allen East is No. 5, Lima Central Catholic is No. 7, Minster is No. 8, Fairview is No. 9 and Parkway is No. 11. In Division VII, Region 28, Marion Local is No. 2.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
