{"id":12348,"date":"2011-08-22T03:53:20","date_gmt":"2011-08-22T08:53:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/?p=12348"},"modified":"2011-08-22T04:34:02","modified_gmt":"2011-08-22T09:34:02","slug":"men-caught-stealing-scrap-metal-from-plant","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/news\/2011\/08\/22\/men-caught-stealing-scrap-metal-from-plant\/","title":{"rendered":"2 caught stealing scrap metal from plant"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Two Lima men were caught in the act of taking scrap metal from a local business on Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>According to a Van Wert police report, a former employee of Kennedy Manufacturing Inc., 1260 Industrial Ave., saw two men in a truck leaving the Van Wert Industrial Park and recognized scrap metal in the back of the truck as having come from Kennedy.<\/p>\n<p>The man then notified police who stopped the truck and called Rick Shupe of Kennedy to come out and identify the scrap metal, which he did.<\/p>\n<p>The two men, Fred Peoples Jr., 39, and Michael E. Kidd, 54, were both arrested and charged with theft in connection with the incident.<\/p>\n<p>There were incarcerated in the Van Wert County Correctional Facility and will appear in Van Wert Municipal Court on the charge.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Two Lima men were caught in the act of taking scrap metal from a local business on Saturday.
