{"id":123907,"date":"2019-10-17T10:46:46","date_gmt":"2019-10-17T15:46:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.thevwindependent.com\/news\/?p=123907"},"modified":"2019-10-17T10:49:22","modified_gmt":"2019-10-17T15:49:22","slug":"williams-nwc-poy-evans-tabbed-coy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/news\/2019\/10\/17\/williams-nwc-poy-evans-tabbed-coy\/","title":{"rendered":"Williams NWC POY, Evans tabbed COY"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><em>Van Wert independent sports<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>DELPHOS &#8212; Lincolnview junior Madison Williams was voted the 2019 Northwest Conference Player of The Year at a meeting of conference volleyball coaches in Delphos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In a close vote, Williams edged Lexi Gregory of Crestview and teammate Kendall Bollenbacher, who finished second and third respectively in the balloting.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignright\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"150\" height=\"203\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thevwindependent.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/JaNahn-Evans-10-19.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-123916\"\/><figcaption><strong>JaNahn Evans<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Williams finished the regular season with 379 digs, 244 kills and 40 aces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After leading the Lady Lancers to a 20-2 (8-0 NWC) regular season and an outright Northwest Conference championship, JaNahn Evans of Lincolnview was voted NWC Coach of the Year by her peers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Along with Williams, Bollenbacher and Gregory, Bailey Gregory was named first team All-NWC, while Lincolnview\u2019s Brianna Ebel was named second team all conference. Teammates McKayla Blankemeyer and Kendall Klausing received honorable mention All-NWC accolades.
