{"id":124001,"date":"2019-10-19T07:35:35","date_gmt":"2019-10-19T12:35:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.thevwindependent.com\/news\/?p=124001"},"modified":"2019-10-19T07:35:41","modified_gmt":"2019-10-19T12:35:41","slug":"rotary-wants-to-help-other-local-groups","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/news\/2019\/10\/19\/rotary-wants-to-help-other-local-groups\/","title":{"rendered":"Rotary wants to help other local groups"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><em>VW independent\/submitted information<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Van Wert Rotary Foundation, part of Van Wert Rotary Club, reminds other organizations&nbsp;of the partnership opportunities it can offer.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The foundation is the charitable branch of the local club that has the ability to accept and distribute donations to worthy projects and organizations.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignright is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thevwindependent.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/VW-Rotary-Club-logo-4-2019.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-116918\" width=\"250\" height=\"116\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;We have a wonderful opportunity to provide financial support to projects both big and small,&#8221; said 2019-2020 Rotary Foundation Chairman Eric Hurless. &#8220;We are solely funded by donations from our Rotarians, our various fundraising activities, and, most importantly, our annual auction.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Also this year, we started thinking about other ways to help besides writing a check,\u201d Hurless added. \u201cWe now ask organizations how else we can help by volunteering. It seems&nbsp;to be working well.&#8221;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hurless said anyone seeking a donation can contact him via email at\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:erichurless@gmail.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"erichurless@gmail.com (opens in a new tab)\">erichurless@gmail.com<\/a>\u00a0and will be asked to fill out a request form. The request will then be reviewed by the foundation board for consideration.
