{"id":126102,"date":"2019-12-20T21:34:35","date_gmt":"2019-12-21T02:34:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.thevwindependent.com\/news\/?p=126102"},"modified":"2019-12-20T21:34:43","modified_gmt":"2019-12-21T02:34:43","slug":"alonzo-james-munoz","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/news\/2019\/12\/20\/alonzo-james-munoz\/","title":{"rendered":"Alonzo James Munoz"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Alonzo James \u201cZoe\u201d Mu\u00f1oz, 26, of Van Wert, lost his battle with addiction on Wednesday afternoon, December 18, 2019, at his residence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignright\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"275\" height=\"411\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thevwindependent.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/Alonzo-Munoz-obit-photo-12-2019.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-126103\"\/><figcaption><strong>Alonzo James &#8220;Zoe&#8221; Munoz<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>He was born December 28, 1992, in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Victoria Lynn (Oszakiewski) Panning of Van Wert and Irving Mu\u00f1oz of Chicago.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Zoe was a 2011 graduate of Van Wert High School and had gone to school for welding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He is survived by his son, Wyatt James Mu\u00f1oz of Van Wert, best friend and mother of his son, Tiffany Raines; a daughter, Jerzie Rose of Van Wert; one brother, Steven E. Castillo of Chicago; and three sisters, Nicole Marie (Casey) Castillo of Elmendorf, Texas, and Alexis Sophia Mu\u00f1oz and Arianna Mu\u00f1oz, both of Fort Wayne, Indiana.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Funeral services are scheduled for 4 p.m. Saturday, December 28, at Cowan &amp; Son Funeral Home in Van Wert.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Visitation is from noon-4 p.m. Saturday (December 28) at the funeral home.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Preferred memorials: Westwood Behavioral Health Center.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Condolences may be expressed at&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/cowanfuneralhome.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">cowanfuneralhome.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Alonzo James \u201cZoe\u201d Mu\u00f1oz, 26, of Van Wert, lost his battle with addiction on Wednesday afternoon, December 18, 2019, at his residence.
