County offices will also be closed Tuesday, December 31, beginning at noon, and will reopen Thursday, January 2, 2020, to celebrate the new year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Offices affected include the Van Wert County Auditor\u2019s Office, Clerk of Courts Legal Department and Title Department, Commissioners\u2019 Office, Common Pleas Court and Adult Probation, Coroner\u2019s Office, Department of Job and Family Services, Emergency Management Agency, Engineer\u2019s Office, IT Department, Probate and Juvenile Court, Prosecutor\u2019s Office, Recorder\u2019s Office, Tax Map Office, and Treasurer\u2019s Office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"545\" height=\"106\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thevwindependent.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/Christmas-ribbon-artwork-12-2019.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-126189\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>As previously announced, the County Board of Elections will be closed beginning Monday, December 23, and will reopen on January 2.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Van Wert County Health Department will be closed all day December 24, 25, and 31, and January 1, 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Van Wert County Veterans Services Office will be closed December 24, beginning at noon, and will reopen on Friday, December 27; then closed December 31, beginning at noon, and reopen January 2.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Van Wert County Solid Waste Management District\u2019s holiday recycle schedule is as follows: December 24 &#8212; the drive-through will be closed. Curbside will collect as usual. December 25 &#8212; the drive-through will be closed, and curbside will not collect Wednesday\u2019s route. Thursday and Friday routes will be collected as usual. December 31 &#8212; the drive thru will be closed, but curbside will collect as usual. January 1, 2020 &#8212; the drive-through will be closed, and curbside will not collect Thursday\u2019s route.
