Vance, a former board member for Paulding Exempted Village Schools and Vantage Career Center, formally announces he will run for the Republican nomination for the Paulding County commissioner\u2019s seat that commences on January 3, 2021, in the March 17&nbsp;primary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignright\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"150\" height=\"248\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thevwindependent.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/Clint-Vance-headshot-150px-1-2020.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-126429\"\/><figcaption><strong>Clint Vance<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Vance, who was edged out in the 2018 republican primary for commissioner by Mark Holtsberry, believes the county is at a turning point for its leadership.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cYoung, inspiring leaders are what this county needs right now to be taken to the next level.\u201d Vance said. \u201cAfter being unsuccessful in 2018, there was no way I could give up at such a crucial time for this county, so I continued working.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2018, after the election, Vance was appointed by the commissioners and continues to serve on the County Planning Commission. He is also a board member and serves as treasurer for Community Revitalizing Paulding (CoRP) and serves as vice president for the John Paulding Historical Society and is president for Habitat for Humanity of Paulding County.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Vance is also in charge of Paulding\u2019s Tunes, Brews, &amp; BBQ; an event held in June and August that helps raise money for downtown revitalization. In 2019, Clint attended the Main Street organization\u2019s national conference in Seattle, Washington, where he brought back ideas and shared them with the villages throughout the county.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When he isn\u2019t farming, Vance assists Paulding County Economic Development Director Jerry Zielke in his office with current projects happening around the county, along with social media updates.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI hope my actions speak louder than any words from my opponents,\u201d he noted. \u201cI would be humbled and honored if the voters would consider supporting me.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>VW independent\/submitted information CECIL &#8212; Clint A.
