Attendees will gain knowledge in how to start or grow their business. Those participating will hear from successful entrepreneurs, as well as experts in marketing, law, financing, real estate, and insurance. There will also be a question-and-answer session.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A special element to the workshop is the announcement of the Business Plan Challenge, where individuals looking to begin a business in Van Wert County can create, submit, and present a business plan to a panel of judges for the chance to win business development funds. This allows individuals time to put thought on paper, do the necessary research, and attend business counseling sessions offered locally by Wright State University-Lake Campus\u2019 Business Enterprise Center.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The workshop and challenge are sponsored by the Van Wert County Foundation, US Bank, and Citizens National Bank.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWhen I started thinking about buying the bridal boutique, I was so excited to learn that Economic Development provided this opportunity,\u201d said Jenna Dailey owner of Sisters Bridal Boutique. \u201cI attended the Entrepreneurship Fair and found it to be really helpful.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThey had business professionals there to help answer our questions and get the process started,\u201d Dailey added. \u201cI also participated in the Starting Right classes and Business Plan Challenge. Our teacher was amazing and I really enjoyed meeting others in the community who shared my dream of business ownership.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThese classes really helped me prepare for my business loan and it gave me a strong foundation going forward,\u201d Dailey went on to say. \u201cI am so thankful to Economic Development and Wright State for providing this.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Those looking to start their own business, or expand an existing business, should take advantage of this excellent opportunity.
