Van Werft High School Principal Bill Clifton announces that the annual open house for parents of VWHS students will be held Wednesday, September 7, from 7-8:30 p.m.<\/p>\n
Parents or guardians are asked to meet at 7 p.m. in the high school-middle school commons for introductory comments by Clifton, followed by brief class periods that allow parents to visit each of their students’ classrooms, where teachers can explain their program of instruction.<\/p>\n
Clifton encourages all parents or guardians to attend and stresses the importance of understanding the concept of open house. Questions concerning individual student performance will be discussed during parent-teacher conferences scheduled for Thursday, November 3, from 4-7:30 p.m., and Friday, November 4, from 8-11 a.m. and noon-3 p.m. Open house is a time for teachers to welcome parents and share their curriculum with the public.<\/p>\n
Parents or guardians are asked to obtain a copy of their student’s class schedule in order to observe the following schedule for the evening:<\/p>\n
7:20-7:27 — first period classes<\/p>\n
7:31-7:38 — second period classes<\/p>\n
7:42-7:49 — third period classes<\/p>\n
7:53-8 — fourth period classes<\/p>\n
8:04-8:11 — fifth period classes<\/p>\n
8:15-8:22 — sixth period classes<\/p>\n
