As part of the \u201cYoung Country\u201d movement of the early 1990s, Little Texas was responsible for shaking up the country music world with a new, energetic sound that fused the look and attitude of modern rock music with traditional country themes and styles, bringing a much-appreciated bolt of life into the genre. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

For their efforts, country fans the world over richly rewarded the band, buying up more than 7 million albums, while critics showered them with three Grammy nominations, plus honors from both the Academy of Country Music (Vocal Group of The Year) and the Country Music Association (Album Of The Year).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Their first radio release in 1991, \u201cSome Guys Have All the Love\u201d, became a Top 10 hit, as did their next single, \u201cFirst Time For Everything\u201d. After the album First Time for Everything was released, five singles reached the top of the charts. The group\u2019s second album, Big Time, truly was the big time for Little Texas. The sophomore release, which has sold more than 3 million copies to date, spawned three No. 1 singles \u2013 \u201cWhat Might Have Been\u201d, \u201cGod Blessed Texas\u201d and \u201cMy Love\u201d — and captured the group\u2019s first CMT Award, a Billboard award, a Radio & Records award, and their first Grammy nomination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Many hit songs and awards later, the band is now hitting the road with its 30th Anniversary Tour. <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe four of us appreciate each other and still have a ball on stage,\u201d says drummer Gray of the band\u2019s chemistry on stage after all this time. \u201cThere is a comfort level that happens to us when we play together that can only happen with 20-something years of experience.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
