The co-op simply asks members who are impacted to call. PPEC\u2019s office and drive-thru window will also be closed to the public indefinitely.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The company said the move is to protect the safety of members and ensure families will have electric service so they can focus on staying healthy. It is not yet clear how long the temporary suspension of disconnections or office closure will last.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignright size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"300\" height=\"102\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thevwindependent.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/PPEC-logo-12-2-16.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-82352\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Members can still pay PPEC electric bills by phone, mail, drop box, or online via SmartHub, which is accessible by mobile app or at&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ppec.coop\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">www.PPEC.coop<\/a>. To pay by phone, members should call PPEC\u2019s toll-free payment number at 888.220.6482.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For those who are affected by special circumstances related to COVID-19, please call PPEC\u2019s office at 800.686.2357. The cooperative understands the stress put on its members during this time and is willing to work with those who call.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>PPEC is enforcing the following preventative measures effective immediately and until further notice to help protect employees and the communities it serves:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Temporarily closing its office, lobby, and drive-thru window to the public<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Temporarily suspending customer service disconnects&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The PPEC annual meeting will be held virtually via Facebook Live at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 21. There will be no physical attendance. The broadcast will be posted to the company\u2019s Facebook page and website after the meeting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Prohibiting all training and travel for employees until further notice<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Call the co-op\u2019s office with any questions.
