Health officials note they are committed to monitoring and promoting the health and welfare of the public. As the health district continues to monitor the situation, information will be shared as is necessary to protect the public, while also considering the privacy of the rights of all those affected.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignright size-large is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/VW-County-Health-Dept.-logo-3-2017.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-85776\" width=\"250\" height=\"186\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Health officials encourage local residents to get their information from credible sources and to not spread rumors. In addition, they ask that local residents be kind and remember that county residents are all in this together.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The virus is still believed to be widespread in all communities and local health officials urge county residents to take action and abide by the Ohio Health Director Dr. Amy Acton\u2019s \u201cstay at home order\u201d to help slow the spread of the disease.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cPlease do your part to slow the spread of the virus by staying home, avoiding unnecessary travel, shopping trips, and practice social distancing when around other people with the exception of family or household members,\u201d health officials said in a release on Thursday. \u201cWork from home when possible.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Ohio Department of Health has opened&nbsp;a call center to answer questions regarding coronavirus (COVID\u201019).
