The recognition ceremony originally scheduled for April 9 will be rescheduled for later this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The 2019-2020 Optimist Club of Van Wert Essay Contest winners are: Jamie Burenga, Van Wert High School, first place; Lyrissa Hammons, VWHS, second place; and Tiffany Thompson, Crestview High School, third place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Optimist Club of Van Wert sponsors many local youth programs and conducts positive service projects.&nbsp;&nbsp;The goal of Optimists is to encourage students to bring out the best in themselves and others.
