Stand Against Racism will unite the community in a bold demonstration that delivers a clear message: we are on a mission to eliminate racism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignright size-large is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/Stand-Against-Racism-logo-4-2018.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-101643\" width=\"300\" height=\"153\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIt is extremely important to elevate the discussion about racism in the Van Wert community,\u201d said YWCA Advocacy Coordinator Kelly Houg.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>From Thursday through Sunday of that week, online\/virtual events are anticipated in nearly every state across the country, including engagement in public policy and advocacy, community education, and public proclamations.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Participants&nbsp;in YWCA\u2019s Stand Against Racism range from children to elected officials, from owners of small businesses to church leaders, and many others.
