{"id":134013,"date":"2020-08-13T11:12:12","date_gmt":"2020-08-13T16:12:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/news\/?p=134013"},"modified":"2020-08-13T11:14:07","modified_gmt":"2020-08-13T16:14:07","slug":"nwc-sets-new-2020-football-schedule","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/news\/2020\/08\/13\/nwc-sets-new-2020-football-schedule\/","title":{"rendered":"NWC sets new 2020 football schedule"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><em>Van Wert independent sports<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Northwest Conference has a revised and different type of schedule in place for the 2020 high school football season. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignright size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"180\" height=\"180\" src=\"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/nwclogo180.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-103051\" srcset=\"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/nwclogo180.jpg 180w, https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/nwclogo180-150x150.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 180px) 100vw, 180px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>NWC teams will be placed in two divisions and will play three regular season games before playing in a three week conference tournament that will determine the 2020 champion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ada, Allen East, Bluffton and Columbus Grove will be in the East Division, while Crestview, Delphos Jefferson, Paulding and Spencerville will be in the West Division.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Week No. 1 (August 28) games will be Ada at Allen East, Columbus Grove at Bluffton, Paulding at Delphos Jefferson and Crestview at Spencerville.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Week No. 2 (September 4)  games will be Allen East at Bluffton, Ada at Columbus Grove, Crestview at Paulding and Spencerville at Delphos Jefferson.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Week No. 3 (September 11) games will be Columbus Grove at Allen East, Bluffton at Ada, Delphos Jefferson at Crestview and Spencerville at Paulding. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Seeding for the 2020 NWC tournament will take place on Saturday, September 12. Division records will determine a team\u2019s seed and ties will be broken using the results of head-to-head matchups or by drawing pills. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>The higher seeds will not always host.
