The CARES Act funds were made available through the initiative of Governor Mike DeWine and state legislative leaders, as well as through the approval of the state\u2019s Controlling Board.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignright size-large\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"300\" height=\"171\" src=\"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/VW-Live-logo-3-2020.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-129630\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Among the grants was one for $68,400 to the Van Wert Area Performing Arts Foundation, which operates the Niswonger Performing Arts Center of Northwest Ohio, as well as Van Wert Live events at the NPAC and other venues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Awards were determined through a tiered, need-based formula that considered each eligible organization\u2019s budget and reported expenses qualifying under the CARES Act. In addition, the Arts Council will.
