{"id":141411,"date":"2021-03-27T14:34:21","date_gmt":"2021-03-27T19:34:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/news\/?p=141411"},"modified":"2021-03-29T06:53:19","modified_gmt":"2021-03-29T11:53:19","slug":"2-die-in-1-car-crash-in-paulding-county","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/news\/2021\/03\/27\/2-die-in-1-car-crash-in-paulding-county\/","title":{"rendered":"2 die in 1-car crash in Paulding County"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><em>VW independent\/submitted information<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Two women were killed in a one-accident that occurred Saturday morning in Paulding County.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignright size-large is-resized\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/Fatal-Crash-artwork-3-2014.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-49246\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the Van Wert Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, a 2005 Nissan Maxima driven by Kathy Szumanski, 41, of Coldwater, Michigan, was westbound on Township Road 94, just west of Township road 21 in Harrison Township, Paulding County, when the vehicle veered off the right side of the road and flipped over.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Both Ms. Szumanski and a passenger, Misty Miller, 38, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, were thrown from the vehicle and sustained fatal injuries. Both were pronounced dead at the scene by the Paulding County Coroner\u2019s Office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Patrol was also assisted on scene by the Paulding County Sheriff\u2019s Office, Payne Fire and EMS and Gideon\u2019s Towing and Recovery.
