The Lincolnview Lancer cross country team competed at the Van Wert County Hospital Invitational on Saturday.<\/p>\n
The boys\u2019 team placed fifth in the meet that featured state-ranked Minster, Columbus Grove, and Crestview.\u00a0The boys were led by a 14th place finish by Bayley Tow (17:29).\u00a0 Ben Bilimek also ran a career best time on the course placing 21st in a time of 17:45.\u00a0 Rounding out the top five were Jeff Jacomet (29th), Austin Treesh (41st), and Brandon Jacomet (59th).<\/p>\n
\u201cWe took another step forward as team,\u201d said Lincolnview Coach Matt Langdon. \u201cOnce again, the boys were able to lower their season average.\u00a0We are not where we want to be yet, but have found some consistency, which is going to serve us well in the weeks to come.\u201d<\/p>\n
The girls\u2019 team placed ninth and were led by Karissa Burns, who ran the course in a season best time of 21:32.\u00a0She was followed closely by Kerri Grothaus who ran the course in 21:24.\u00a0 Rounding out the top five were Sabrina Barnhart (63rd), Haley McAbee (70th), and Taylor Miller (87th).<\/p>\n
