{"id":142031,"date":"2021-04-15T15:26:41","date_gmt":"2021-04-15T20:26:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/news\/?p=142031"},"modified":"2021-04-15T15:26:46","modified_gmt":"2021-04-15T20:26:46","slug":"health-dept-reports-21-new-covid-cases","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/news\/2021\/04\/15\/health-dept-reports-21-new-covid-cases\/","title":{"rendered":"Health Dept. reports 21 new COVID cases"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><em>Staff and submitted information<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As of Thursday, the Van Wert County General Health District reports an increase of 21 confirmed cases of COVID-19 since Thursday, April 8, for a total of 2,330 confirmed cases.&nbsp;There are no known hospitalizations at this time.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To date, the health department has given 9,703&nbsp;COVID-19 vaccinations.&nbsp;The following clinic dates are scheduled for this month:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Thursday, April 15, from 2-6 p.m., at the County Health Department (Pfizer and Moderna vaccine)<\/li><li>Wednesday, April 21, from 2-6 p.m., at the Van Wert County Fairgrounds (Moderna)&nbsp;<\/li><li>Thursday, April 29, from 2-6 p.m., at the Fairgrounds (Moderna)<\/li><li>Friday, April 30, from 10 a.m.-5 p.m., at the County Health Department (Pfizer second doses)&nbsp;<\/li><li>Thursday, May 6, from 2-6 p.m., at the Fairgrounds (Moderna and Pfizer second doses)<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Pfizer vaccine is available to all those age 16 and up and Moderna is available to all those age 18 and up.&nbsp;Unless specified, the clinic dates are for all who want to receive a first dose and anyone eligible to receive a second dose of that vaccine.&nbsp;Bring a photo ID and any insurance info to the clinics.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The health department is not making appointments at this time, as all clinics are walk-in only.&nbsp;The public can also contact Family Healthcare of Northwest Ohio at 419.238.6747 and Van Wert Family Physicians at 419.238.6251 to schedule an appointment.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Van Wert CVS and Van Wert Walmart Pharmacy are also scheduling vaccination appointments on their websites.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"580\" height=\"580\" src=\"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/Covid-19-Update-April-15-2021.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-142032\" srcset=\"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/Covid-19-Update-April-15-2021.jpg 580w, https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/Covid-19-Update-April-15-2021-550x550.jpg 550w, https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/Covid-19-Update-April-15-2021-150x150.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 580px) 100vw, 580px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Staff and submitted information As of Thursday, the Van Wert County General Health District reports an increase of 21 confirmed cases of COVID-19 since Thursday, April 8, for a total of 2,330 confirmed cases.&nbsp;There are no known hospitalizations at this time.&nbsp;&nbsp;
