dancing &#8230; with a twist!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The most popular touring dance show in the country is coming to the Niswonger Performing Arts Center in two weeks.\u00a0 Conceived and choreographed by \u201cDancing with the Stars\u201d Louis Van Amstel, this show actually features dancers who have appeared on \u201cDancing with the Stars\u201d and Fox\u2019s \u201cSo You Think You Can Dance.\u201d\u00a0 Not only does the show feature these outstanding dancers in flashy and colorful costumes, it also features two \u201cAmerican Idol\u201d singers: Gina Clocksen from Season 6 and David Hernandez from Season 7.<\/p>\n<p>I am told that although you will see a lot of ballroom dancing, you will also experience what the \u201ctwist\u201d in the title is all about.\u00a0Hip-hop, Broadway and pop music will provide plenty of \u201ctwist\u201d in this spectacular stage show.<\/p>\n<p>Tickets are currently on sale at the NPAC box office at 419.238.NPAC (6722) for this popular show.\u00a0They can also be purchased online at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.npacvw.org\/\">www.npacvw.org<\/a>.\u00a0 Make a note that this show is at 3 p.m.\u00a0 If you show up at 7:30 p.m., you can help clean up!<\/p>\n<p>Other concerts and shows coming up at the NPAC that are currently on sale are Gaudete Brass on October 11, Rockapella on November 4, and COACH on November 6.\u00a0 We have now also released single tickets for all our Christmas shows at the NPAC.\u00a0 They include David Phelps on November 27 (nearly sold out), two <em>Nutcracker<\/em> performances on December 3, Kenny G on December 6 (sold out!), Ricky Skaggs Family Christmas on December 11, and Christmas with John Tesh on December 17.<\/p>\n<p>If you would like to have a sneak preview of any of these shows, you can go to the NPAC website and click on the black video box either on the home page or the events page.\u00a0 It will give you a short clip from the show and may help you in your decisions.\u00a0 Also remember that we occasionally are able to offer seats the day of a sold out concert if the performers release their \u201ccontractual holds.\u201d\u00a0 We are currently taking a waiting list for Kenny G\u2019s Christmas show and may need to do the same for others that are inching toward sold-out status.<\/p>\n<p>I should also mention that if you are a Facebook user, you can find the Niswonger Performing Arts Center of Northwest Ohio on Facebook.\u00a0 Many interesting pictures appear on the site of past performances as well as comments from those who attended.\u00a0 It is a unique social center of activity for the NPAC.<\/p>\n<p>The new piece of artwork in the Van Wert Federal Grand Lobby entitled \u201cThe Arts in Motion\u201d has received many compliments.\u00a0 If you haven\u2019t taken the chance to stop and study this beautiful work of art by Reggie and Penny Buehrer of Window Creations\/Crystal Creek Glass of rural Ottoville, I encourage you to.\u00a0 The more you study it,
