{"id":142939,"date":"2021-05-17T06:54:00","date_gmt":"2021-05-17T11:54:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/news\/?p=142939"},"modified":"2021-05-17T06:54:04","modified_gmt":"2021-05-17T11:54:04","slug":"vwhs-sets-dates-times-for-final-exams","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/news\/2021\/05\/17\/vwhs-sets-dates-times-for-final-exams\/","title":{"rendered":"VWHS sets dates, times for final exams"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><em>Staff and submitted information<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Van Wert High School has scheduled final semester exams for the 2020-21 school year for Wednesday and Thursday of this week, according to VWHS Principal Bob Priest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignright size-large is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/VWCS-logo-200px-8-2017.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-91300\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" srcset=\"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/VWCS-logo-200px-8-2017.jpg 200w, https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/VWCS-logo-200px-8-2017-150x150.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 150px) 100vw, 150px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>All students are required to take exams unless the course does not offer one or a student has been given permission to exempt through the Renaissance program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Students who do not show up for their exams will be given a zero on the exam, fail the entire course for that semester, even if their percentage is equivalent to a passing grade, because they did not fulfill the course requirements, which includes taking the exam.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Students who are absent from an exam must follow all VWHS attendance policies and procedures, as adopted by the Board of Education. All make-up exams will occur according to district policies and procedures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Each of the seven exam periods will last 1 hour and 20 minutes, with an hour open lunch period from 10:50-11:50 a.m. each day of the exams, and make-up testing, staff grading, or meetings set from 1:20-2:40 p.m. Thursday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Staff team time will be held from 2:40-3:10 p.m. on Thursday<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Staff and submitted information Van Wert High School has scheduled final semester exams for the 2020-21 school year for Wednesday and Thursday of this week, according to VWHS Principal Bob Priest.
