{"id":143295,"date":"2021-05-27T21:53:21","date_gmt":"2021-05-28T02:53:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/news\/?p=143295"},"modified":"2021-05-27T21:53:25","modified_gmt":"2021-05-28T02:53:25","slug":"health-dept-18-new-covid-19-cases","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/news\/2021\/05\/27\/health-dept-18-new-covid-19-cases\/","title":{"rendered":"Health Dept.: 18 new COVID-19 cases"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><em>Independent staff and submitted information<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As of Thursday, the Van Wert County General Health District reports an increase of 18 confirmed cases of COVID-19 since Thursday, May 20, for a total of 2,410 confirmed cases.&nbsp;There are two known hospitalizations at this time.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignright size-large\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"360\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/Covid-19-Update-May-27-2021.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-143296\" srcset=\"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/Covid-19-Update-May-27-2021.jpg 360w, https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/Covid-19-Update-May-27-2021-150x150.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 360px) 100vw, 360px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>To date, the health department has given 10,753&nbsp;COVID-19 vaccinations.&nbsp;The following clinic dates are scheduled at this time:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Thursday, June 3, 2-4 p.m., at the County Health Department (Moderna and Pfizer, first and second doses)<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Pfizer vaccine has been approved for all those age 12 and up and Moderna is available to all those age 18 and up.&nbsp;Unless specified, clinic dates are for all those who want to receive a first dose and anyone eligible to receive their second dose of that vaccine.&nbsp;Those participating should bring a photo ID and applicable insurance information.&nbsp;Those under the age of 18 must have a parent or guardian present, as well as proof of age, such as a shot record or birth certificate.&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The health department is not making appointments at this time, as all clinics are walk-in only.
