Say"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Richard P. &#8220;Rick&#8221; Say, 70, of Van Wert, died at 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 26, 2021, at Van Wert Health.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignright size-large\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"300\" height=\"403\" src=\"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/Rick-Say-obit-photo-5-2021.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-143325\"\/><figcaption>Richard P. &#8216;Rick&#8217; Say<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>He was born August 19, 1950, in Van Wert, the son of Charles R. Say, who preceded him in death, and Mary&nbsp;(Pollock) Say, who survives in Van Wert.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He is also survived by his wife, Linda J. (Showalter) Say; two children, Amy (Tom) Williamson of Van Wert and Jeffrey Say of Washington;&nbsp;two grandchildren, Jacob and Ryne Williamson; and a brother, Robert (Gina) Say of Van Wert.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignright size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"125\" height=\"66\" src=\"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/06\/American-Flag-for-obituaries-6-2011.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-8711\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Rick was the retired owner and manager of the Van Wert NAPA auto parts store. He is a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Van Wert and Council 6034, Knights of Columbus, where he was a past grand knight.&nbsp;Rick served his country as a member of the Ohio National Guard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 1, at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, with Father Chris Bohnsack celebrant.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The family will receive friends from 3-7 p.m. Monday, May 31, at Brickner Funeral Home in Van Wert, where a Rosary service will follow at 7 that evening.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Preferred memorials: St. Mary of the Assumption School.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Condolences may be expressed at&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.bricknerfuneralhome.com\/\">www.bricknerfuneralhome.com<\/a>&nbsp;or emailed to&nbsp;<a href=\"mailto:bricknerfuneralhome@bright.net\">bricknerfuneralhome@bright.net<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Richard P. &#8220;Rick&#8221; Say, 70, of Van Wert, died at 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 26, 2021, at Van Wert Health.\u00a0\u00a0 He was born August 19, 1950, in Van Wert, the son of Charles R.
