Participating programs can earn a one to five star rating.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignright size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/Crestview-Knight.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-90971\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to meeting all standards of a four-star rating, programs with five stars may also:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Have lower staff\/child ratios<\/li><li>Use child assessment results to plan activities that best support learning and development goals for each child<\/li><li>Share assessment results and create goals for children<\/li><li>Develop plans to support children as they transition to a new classroom or educational setting<\/li><li>Work with other organizations or businesses within the community to support children and their families<\/li><li>Have an active and organized parent volunteer group<\/li><li>Use input from families and community partners to form the program\u2019s continuous improvement process<\/li><li>Have accreditation by an approved organizational<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe Crestview Early Childhood Center is very proud to receive a five-star rating for its preschool program,\u201d ECC Principal Casey Dowler said. \u201cThe ECC offers a developmentally appropriate curriculum where teachers and staff strive to enhance the child\u2019s social, emotional, physical and intellectual growth, enriching the whole child in a safe and nurturing environment.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOur experienced and highly qualified staff enable each child to reach his\/her fullest potential by supporting them wherever they are on their learning path,\u201d Dowler added. \u201cOur goal is to build skills that set children up for success and help foster their mindset to become lifelong partners.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Crestview ECC offers two age appropriate classes for preschool students. The three-year-old class attends on Mondays and Wednesdays while the four-year-old Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.
