In addition to family pets, family members and friends can also be memorialized.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Black 8&#215;10 granite tiles will be professionally etched and placed on a protected outside wall of the new shelter currently under construction on Fox Road in Van Wert. Tiles are available for a $250 contribution to the humane society\u2019s building campaign.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"550\" height=\"442\" src=\"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/thumbnail_VWCHS-Sample-1-1-copy.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-147815\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe wanted to give people an opportunity to honor their pet or a special individual in their lives, Van Wert County Humane Society Board President Deb Sealscott said. \u201cSpace is very limited, however, and we encourage the public to act very soon,\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Application can be found online the Humane Society\u2019s Facebook page, at <a href=\"https:\/\/vwchs.org\">vwchs.org<\/a>, or at the current shelter on Bonnewitz Ave. in Van Wert.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Van Wert County Humane Society is holding a fundraiser aimed at memorializing pets, either living or deceased.
