The Pilots (19-4) entered the contest having won an outright Green Meadows Conference championship and had won eight straight games.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Lady Lancers jumped out to a 19-14 lead after one quarter, then increased the advantage to 30-21 at halftime and 39-29 after three quarters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI think our girls played extremely hard defensively and caused some havoc,\u201d Lincolnview head coach Kyle Williams said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Two key factors in the game were foul shots and rebounding. Lincolnview converted 15-of-23 attempts from the free throw line while Ayersville connected on just 3-of-13 shots. In addition, the Lady Lancers pulled down 34 rebounds, including 15 on the offensive end, while the Pilots had 23 total rebounds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOur girls did the little things it takes to win tournament games, 50-50 ball, rebounds and handling the ball,\u201d Williams said. \u201cI\u2019m super proud of their composure.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ayersville was led by Ally Schindler, who scored 14 points and Kaylee Dockery, who added 13.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lincolnview (9-14) will face No. 7 seed Ottoville in the district semifinals at 5:30 p.m. Thursday at Defiance High School.
