{"id":152430,"date":"2022-03-21T04:44:24","date_gmt":"2022-03-21T09:44:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/news\/?p=152430"},"modified":"2022-03-22T03:47:18","modified_gmt":"2022-03-22T08:47:18","slug":"statewide-and-local-gas-prices-go-down-at-least-for-now","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/news\/2022\/03\/21\/statewide-and-local-gas-prices-go-down-at-least-for-now\/","title":{"rendered":"Gas prices on the decline, at least for now"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><em>VW independent staff and submitted information<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Average gasoline prices in Ohio have fallen 6.2 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $4.01 per gallon today, according to GasBuddy&#8217;s survey of 5,345 stations in Ohio. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignright size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"200\" height=\"113\" src=\"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/Gasoline-pump-nozzle-artwork-8-2016.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-78995\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Prices in Ohio are 67.7 cents per gallon higher than a month ago and still stand $1.36 a gallon higher than a year ago.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to GasBuddy price reports, the cheapest station in Ohio was priced at $3.19 per gallon on Sunday, while the most expensive was $4.99 per gallon. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In Van Wert, Monday morning gas prices ranged from $3.77 at Murphy USA on Towne Center Blvd., substantially lower than the statewide average, to $3.99 at Tyler&#8217;s Short Stop on East Main St. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The national average price of gasoline has fallen 9.0 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $4.23 per gallon today.
