{"id":153048,"date":"2022-04-11T03:45:55","date_gmt":"2022-04-11T08:45:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/news\/?p=153048"},"modified":"2022-04-11T03:45:57","modified_gmt":"2022-04-11T08:45:57","slug":"cougar-boys-run-to-ehresman-invite-title","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/news\/2022\/04\/11\/cougar-boys-run-to-ehresman-invite-title\/","title":{"rendered":"Cougar boys run to Ehresman Invite title"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><em>VW independent sports<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>LIMA \u2013 Bolstered by the relay teams, Van Wert took top honors at the 12-team Ehresman Invitational at Bath Stadium on Friday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The boys\u2019 4&#215;800 relay team of Gage Wannemacher, Rylan Miller, Gage Springer and Hunter Sherer won with a time of 8:37.74, while the 4&#215;200 team of Keldyn Bill, Nate Phillips, Nate Jackson and Trey Laudick won with a time of 1:33.86.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignright size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"200\" height=\"113\" src=\"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/VW-Cougars_stacked-copy.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-96499\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The 4&#215;400 team (Jackson, Phillips, Ty Jackson, Laudick) edged Shawnee, 3:35.08-3:35.15, while the 4&#215;100 team (Bill, Phillips, Jackson, Jackson) finished second behind Allen East (45.73-46.03).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition, Laudick won the 400 meter dash (52.42) and finished second behind Shawnee\u2019s K.J. Upshaw in the 200 meter dash (23.50). Gage Springer placed second in the 800 meter run (2:06.70) and Gage Stemen was the runner-up in the long jump (11-18).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Cougars won the team title with 110 points, compared to 88.5 for runner-up Shawnee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Lady Cougars finished in a 10th place tie with Allen East and were led by Sofi Houg, who finished third in the 100 meter dash (13.48).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Full results can be found<a href=\"https:\/\/www.baumspage.com\/track\/bath\/2022\/2022%20Ehresman%20Results.pdf\"> here<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Weather permitting, Van Wert is scheduled to host Celina and Crestview on Tuesday.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>VW independent sports LIMA \u2013 Bolstered by the relay teams, Van Wert took top honors at the 12-team Ehresman Invitational at Bath Stadium on Friday.
