{"id":153721,"date":"2022-05-02T03:38:24","date_gmt":"2022-05-02T08:38:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/news\/?p=153721"},"modified":"2022-05-02T03:38:27","modified_gmt":"2022-05-02T08:38:27","slug":"vwhs-sets-dates-times-for-final-exams-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/news\/2022\/05\/02\/vwhs-sets-dates-times-for-final-exams-2\/","title":{"rendered":"VWHS sets dates, times for final exams"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><em>VW independent staff and submitted information<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Van Wert High School has scheduled final semester exams for the 2021-22 school year for Wednesday, May 18, and Thursday, May 19, according to Principal Bob Priest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignright size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"200\" height=\"200\" src=\"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/vwcs_circle_full-color_white-background-copy.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-144880\" srcset=\"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/vwcs_circle_full-color_white-background-copy.png 200w, https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/vwcs_circle_full-color_white-background-copy-150x150.png 150w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 200px) 100vw, 200px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>All students are required to take exams unless the course does not offer one or a student has been given permission to exempt through the Renaissance program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Students who do not show up for their exams will be given a zero on the exam, fail the entire course for that semester, even if their percentage is equivalent to a passing grade, because they did not fulfill the course requirements, which includes taking the exam.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Students who are absent from an exam must follow all Van Wert High School attendance policies and procedures as adopted by the Board of Education. All make-up exams will occur according to district policies and procedures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Each of the seven exam periods will last 1 hour and 20 minutes, with an hour open lunch period from 10:50-11:50 a.m. each day of the exams, and<br>staff team time will be held from 2:40-3:10 p.m. on Wednesday.
