Local residents looking for higher education and training have options in Van Wert County. Information Night at Northwest State Community College\u2019s Van Wert location will showcase local educational resources and introduce people to the college process.<\/p>\n
Anyone wanting to learn more about training and education is invited to attend NSCC\u2019s Information Night on Tuesday, October 25, at 6:30 p.m. The Admissions Office will share information on financial aid, scholarships, degree and certificate programs, and how to get started at Northwest State.<\/p>\n
\u201cMany of the current job openings require training or certification beyond a high school diploma,\u201d said Dennis Giacomino, director of admissions. \u201cThe purpose of Information Night is to share what is available and help people take the next step towards their goals.\u201d<\/p>\n
Northwest State offers numerous programs, from one-year certificates to associate degrees that transfer to four-year universities. Class options include day, evening and online to fit a variety of schedules.<\/p>\n
NSCC\u2019s Van Wert site is located in the Shannon Station Shopping Center at 793 Fox Road. The location offers eight-week and semester classes, including general education courses that transfer or apply to various programs at Northwest State.
