He was spotted by a trooper on westbound U.S.\u00a030 near Converse Roselm Road\u00a0at approximately\u00a010:40 p.m.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The driver fled again and deputies from the Van Wert County Sheriff\u2019s Office joined in the pursuit before putting down \u201cstop sticks\u201d at U.S.&nbsp;30 and Elm Sugar Road.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At least one tire was flattened by the stop sticks and the man was stopped at approximately\u00a010:55 p.m.\u00a0one mile from the Indiana line.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The man, who was driving a Jaguar, was arrested without further incident and was taken to the Van Wert County Correctional Facility.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Troopers noted the chase reached speeds of 125 miles per hour. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>VW independent staff\u00a0\u00a0 TULLY TOWNSHIP \u2014 Charges are pending in connection with a Tuesday night high-speed chase along U.S. 30 in Van Wert County.\u00a0 According to the Van Wert Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the driver, from Marion, was first pursued by Allen County Sheriff\u2019s deputies, who lost sight of him.
