The crash occurred on State Route 637 at State Route 613 in Paulding County on June 25.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ohio State Highway Patrol Lieutenant Tim Grigsby and Trooper Kevin Krill presented him with a \u201cSaved by the Belt\u201d certificate signed by Ohio Department of Public Safety Director Thomas J. Stickrath and Colonel Richard S. Fambro, Patrol superintendent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cMr. Chapman is a living testimony to the effectiveness of safety belts,\u201d Lieutenant Grigsby, Van Wert Post commander said. \u201cEveryone needs to buckle up every trip, every time.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"550\" height=\"393\" src=\"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/Saved-by-the-Belt-8-2022.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-156792\"\/><figcaption>Trooper Kevin Krill (left) and Lt. For up-to-date statistics and information on seat belts, log onto the Patrol\u2019s Seatbelt Dashboard at www.SeatBeltDashboard.ohio.gov.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The \u201cSaved by the Belt\u201d Club is a joint effort by the Ohio Department of Public Safety and more than 400 Ohio law enforcement agencies.
