{"id":157122,"date":"2022-08-22T03:45:43","date_gmt":"2022-08-22T08:45:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/news\/?p=157122"},"modified":"2022-08-22T03:45:44","modified_gmt":"2022-08-22T08:45:44","slug":"weekend-robbery-suspect-still-at-large","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/news\/2022\/08\/22\/weekend-robbery-suspect-still-at-large\/","title":{"rendered":"Weekend robbery suspect still at-large"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><em>VW independent news<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Van Wert Police Department is still seeking information about a weekend strong-arm robbery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignright size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"200\" height=\"145\" src=\"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Police-siren-200.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-155309\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>As first reported by <em>the VW independent<\/em> on Sunday, the robbery occurred at approximately 5:20 p.m. Saturday at Pak-A-Sak North on North Washington St. The victim, a 74-year-old man from Fort Wayne, had purchased a lottery ticket and had collected his winnings from the store and while leaving, was attacked by an unknown man.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The assailant assaulted the victim and stole his winnings before fleeing southbound on South Washington. A police report didn\u2019t incident if he fled on foot or in a car, but the man remains at-large.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The victim was taken by ambulance to Van Wert Health and was later released.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The suspect was described as a black male, 5-8 and 250 pounds with a blue Michigan Wolverines shirt, black and gray sweatpants and a gold chain necklace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Anyone with information about the robbery or suspect should contact the Van Wert Police Department at 419.238.2462.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>VW independent news The Van Wert Police Department is still seeking information about a weekend strong-arm robbery.
