{"id":157436,"date":"2022-08-31T04:15:26","date_gmt":"2022-08-31T09:15:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/news\/?p=157436"},"modified":"2022-08-31T04:15:27","modified_gmt":"2022-08-31T09:15:27","slug":"central-sponsoring-first-responders-day","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/news\/2022\/08\/31\/central-sponsoring-first-responders-day\/","title":{"rendered":"Central sponsoring First Responders Day"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><em>Submitted information<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Central Insurance is again sponsoring First Responders Day at the Van Wert County Fair on Saturday, September 3.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As part of the sponsorship, first responders will receive free admission with a valid ID at the gate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cCentral was founded as a fire insurance company to help people in the Van Wert community, so we have a deep appreciation for those committed to helping others,\u201d says Central\u2019s Chief Operating Officer Cindy Hurless. \u201cThis sponsorship is a way to honor our first responders, both past and present, who are dedicated to providing security and protection to our Van Wert and surrounding communities.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to First Responders Day, Central hosted local third graders from Lincolnview, Crestview, and St. Mary\u2019s schools for a tour of the company\u2019s Fire Museum on Tuesday. One of the finest privately-owned collections in the U.S., the museum is a fitting tribute to Central\u2019s heritage of responding to those in need. Much of the equipment on display is part of local history and was used in Van Wert.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Van Wert County Fair continues through September 5.
