The class recently donated $5,326 to the Cougar Pride Athletic Booster Club.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe are so grateful to this class for their generous gift\u201d, club president John White said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"550\" height=\"473\" src=\"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/VWHS-Class-of-1961.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-157478\"\/><figcaption>The Van Wert High School Class of 1961 made a sizable donation to the Van Wert Cougar Pride Athletic Booster Club for Eggerss Stadium. <em>Photo submitted<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The money donated will go into a fund specifically designated for future maintenance of the historic downtown stadium.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe are excited that forward thinking community members are already addressing the future needs, even before the renovations have been started\u201d, said White.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Van Wert High School Class of 1961 joins the classes of 1966, 1968, 1973, and 1998 in supporting the Eggerss Stadium renovation project.
