{"id":16940,"date":"2011-11-25T21:26:41","date_gmt":"2011-11-26T02:26:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/?p=16940"},"modified":"2011-11-26T16:18:30","modified_gmt":"2011-11-26T21:18:30","slug":"sharon-elaine-manship-niswonger","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/news\/2011\/11\/25\/sharon-elaine-manship-niswonger\/","title":{"rendered":"Sharon Elaine Manship Niswonger"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Sharon Elaine Manship Niswonger, 83, of Greeneville, Tenn., passed away Friday morning, November 25, 2011, at her home.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_16941\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-16941\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-16941 \" style=\"border: 1px solid black\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thevwindependent.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/11\/Sharon-Niswonger-obit-photo-11-2011.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"438\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-16941\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Sharon Elaine Manship Niswonger<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>She was born in Van Wert on January 26, 1928, a daughter of the late Frank A. and Helen (Robbins) Manship. She married James Mott Niswonger, who preceded her in death.<\/p>\n<p>Mrs. Niswonger was a homemaker and a member of St. Mark\u2019s Lutheran Church in Van Wert and Reformation Lutheran Church in Greeneville, Tenn. She was also a member of the Van Wert Woman\u2019s Club and a volunteer for the Camp Fire Girls and Laughlin Memorial Hospital.<\/p>\n<p>Survivors include a son, Scott M. Niswonger, and his wife, Nikki; grandchildren Karla Gentry and her husband, Bobby, E.J. Creutzinger and his wife, Leslie, Patrick Creutzinger and his wife, Susan, and Sarah Creutzinger; great-grandchildren Tyler and Trevor Gentry, and Nate, Aubrey, Elle, and Graf Creutzinger; and dear friends Blanche Grady, Ruth Moss, and Betty Weemes, all of Greeneville, Tenn., and Joyce Mottinger of Van Wert.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Funeral services will be conducted at 7 p.m. Monday, November 28, at Doughty-Stevens Chapel in Greenville, Tenn., with Pastor Rick Ohsiek officiating. Following services in Greeneville, Mrs. Niswonger will be taken to Cowan &amp; Son Funeral Home in Van Wert, and funeral services here will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 30, at St. Mark\u2019s Lutheran Church. Interment will follow in Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Calling hours in Greeneville, Tenn., will be from 3-6 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, while calling hours in Van Wert will be from 9-10:30 a.m. at the church.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Pallbearers will be Ron Roberts, Rick Metzger, Chuck Metzger, Chuck Koch, Andy Czajkowski and Bill Purmort.<\/p>\n<p>Preferred memorials: food bank or Laughlin Health Care Foundation in Greeneville or St. Mark\u2019s Lutheran Church or the Van Wert Area Inpatient Hospice Center in Van Wert.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Sharon Elaine Manship Niswonger, 83, of Greeneville, Tenn., passed away Friday morning, November 25, 2011, at her home.
