It was 3.2 percent in August.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Wyandot and Mercer counties tied for Ohio\u2019s lowest employment rate last month, 2.4 percent. Putnam County was tied for third lowest with Holmes County, 2.5 percent, and Auglaize and Wayne counties tied for fifth lowest at 2.7 percent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Paulding County\u2019s September unemployment rate was 3.1 percent, while Allen County\u2019s was 3.5 percent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jefferson County had the state\u2019s highest jobless rate, 5.2 percent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ohio\u2019s overall unemployment rate was 3.4 percent.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>VW independent staff COLUMBUS &#8212; Once again, Van Wert County fared well on the state\u2019s latest unemployment report.
