State Issue 2 concerns the legalization of recreational marijuana.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Of the 13 local issues on the ballot are countywide and none of them are in the City of Van Wert. Here is a list of the local issues as presented by the Van Wert County Board of Elections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignright size-full\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"350\" height=\"274\" src=\"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/Election-artwork-350.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-147786\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Village of Convoy:<\/strong> five years, 2 mills, renewal for fire and EMS equipment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Village of Ohio City:<\/strong> five years, 3.5 mills, renewal for current operating expenses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Village of Scott:<\/strong> five years, 2 mills, renewal fire and EMS expenses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Harrison Township:<\/strong> five years, 2.2 mills, renewal for fire protection and ambulance\/emergency services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Harrison Township:<\/strong> five years, 0.5 mills, renewal for current expenses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Harrison Township:<\/strong> five years, 0.3 mills, renewal for fire and EMS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Union Township:<\/strong> five years, 0.8 mills, renewal for current expenses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Lincolnview Local School District:<\/strong> five years, 2.5 mills, renewal for permanent improvements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Liberty Township (excluding the Village of Ohio City):<\/strong> three years, 1.4 mills, renewal for fire protection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Union Township (excluding the Village of Scott):<\/strong> five years, 1.8 mills, renewal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Willshire Township (excluding the villages of Wren and Willshire):<\/strong> five years, 2 mills, replacement levy for fire and EMS services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Village of Willshire:<\/strong> electric aggregation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Village of Willshire:<\/strong> natural gas aggregation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The local ballot also has the Van Wert mayor\u2019s race, city and village council races, school board and township trustee races.
