{"id":17378,"date":"2011-12-07T13:59:50","date_gmt":"2011-12-07T18:59:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/?p=17378"},"modified":"2011-12-07T13:59:50","modified_gmt":"2011-12-07T18:59:50","slug":"camera-club-christmas-dinner-closes-out-2011","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/news\/2011\/12\/07\/camera-club-christmas-dinner-closes-out-2011\/","title":{"rendered":"Camera Club Christmas dinner closes out 2011"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>By Rex Dolby<\/strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Wassenberg Camera Club will hold its last meeting of 2011when it gathers at 6:30 p.m.,Thursday, December 8, for its annual Christmas dinner and year-end judging at the Wassenberg Art Center.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0President Jodi Hattery asks that anyone who can, come early to help set up tables and chairs and do some decorating.\u00a0Those bringing hot dishes, salads, or desserts to share, are reminded to arrive early enough so that all the food will be ready for serving\u00a0promptly at\u00a06:30.\u00a0Members, their families, and\/or guests are to bring their own table service, cups, and drinks.\u00a0The club will provide the meat.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0There are a number of goals that need to be achieved following the meal. One will be the selection of the best print and slide for 2011.\u00a0Everyone present may cast a vote and suggest competition themes for the next year.\u00a0Club members will elect their new officers for 2012, and once\u00a0these goals are met, the only thing left will be to restore the main gallery\u00a0and clean up\u00a0the kitchen.
